About Us

The South Loop church of Christ is made up of a group of Christians from diverse walks of life and ethnicities. We strive to be of the same mind. This doesn’t mean that everyone agrees with every point of scripture, but that we have the same desire to worship and serve God in spirit and truth, stand for the truth and be at peace with one another.

Note the scripture references:

The South Loop congregation looks to God’s word for all authorized activities we engage in. We don’t ever say “what’s wrong” with an activity we do, but rather “what’s right with” the activity we engage in.

Note the scripture references:

Jeremiah 10:23 ESV I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

1 Peter 4:11 MKJV  If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God gives, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory, and the might forever and ever. Amen.

We do not support human institutions or engage in entertainment. We invite you to meet with us and see if we follow the scriptures in all aspects of our worship and service to God. If you see something we do or say that is not in agreement with the scripture please tell us. You will be our friend if you do because our goal is to reach heaven.
